Utilities For Flight Simulator
Scasm
First released in 1995, SCASM will give you access to the full range of Flight Simulator scenery features. It
has spawned several add-ons, which extend its power and usefulness. Freeware,
by Manfred Moldenhauer.
bglcomp
This was the first compiler that really got stuck into the more complex aspects
of scenery creation. No new versions since September 1994, so it's been left
behind by the newer compilers. Freeware, by Hiroo Umeno.
Fsasm
FSASM is like SCASM, a powerful compiler that gives access to most of the
FS scenery-making features. Though it has no graphical add-ons at this stage,
it has excellent documentation written so non-programmers can understand
it. Freeware, by Adam Szofran.
Scenery and Object Designer
Formerly known as FED-OPE, Scenery Designer is a design tool and compiler
with a slick interface. It's supplied with a library of 750 ready-made scenery
objects. Commercial product, by Apollo Software.�
Scenery Designer
for Windows
Scenery Designer for Windows is a new scenery designer that provides a graphical
user interface for the creation of scenery. Commercial product, by Aerosoft
of Germany.
Nav2Bgl
This handy little compiler can create new scenery files defining navaids -- or better yet, alter the
information in existing scenery files. Freeware, by Mattias Weidemann.
R8 Pack Download
This is a a few programs which can convert R8 files into bitmap files and back around.
